About Kuan

      I started to learn how to draw when I was six. I always cherish the time I spend in the art
studio, as it is a place where I am free to express myself in any way I see fit with my chosen
materials.

      My desire to become a product designer came from my interest in devices and how they
utilized their designs to make use more comfortable. Since my younger days, my hobby of
assembling miniature models has remained the same. With that in mind, I began to pay more
attention to the various tools that I used and found that many of my devices had room for
improvement. I started to tinker and gradually made minor adjustments and changes, such as
putting the tape around the handles for a better grip or denting the pipes loose for a more natural
fit. One day, As I was sitting at my desk, I noticed how poorly designed my table lamp was. I
think that Many essential aspects of product designing are easily overlooked. A designer should
not just be concerned about the aesthetic of the product, but also consider how to simplify the
mechanics and add useful functions, while at the same time making it easier to use and to be
more affordable.
